Refreshing Cranberry Smoothie

Cranberries are one of nature’s bountiful fruits that will burst phytochemicals into your body.  Let its proanthocyanidin antioxidant, vitamins, other natural substances help prevent urinary tract infections, reduce inflammation, overall protect you from those sneaky inhibiting illnesses like neurological diseases and cancer.   This will give you that morning revitalization as well as boost your daily physiologic health!

Feel free to play a little with the ingredients depending on your taste buds.  You may also want to try ginger or flax seeds – my favorite things to add to pretty much any smoothie.  It’s healthiest to use water as your base or something like unsweetened rice, almond or coconut milk.   Stays fresh in fridge for 1 to 2 days.   This recipe is about 2 servings (8 oz per serving).

*** SMOOTHIE TIP:  When you make smoothies, try to use BOTH fruits and veggies.  Having all fruit in smoothies can be high in natural sugars, which may be a little too much at one time for some folks, especially for diabetics. ***
