Cool Off with These Grapefruit & Carrot Juice Shots

Grapefruit is one of those fruits that tends to get forgotten, probably because of its tart qualities. But, I’ve been craving grapefruit like no other! Maybe it’s because the seasons are technically changing, or maybe it’s because I’m living in Fayetteville, North Carolina where it’s summer pretty much all year round. I’ve never craved grapefruit like this before, like ever…

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED
(Makes 2-4 shots)

* 4 Large Carrots (or 6 medium carrots) peeled.  
* 1/8 of a grapefruit (probably equivalent to a slice). You don’t want to overpower the juice (unless you want to)! A little bit of grapefruit goes a long way! Just put the whole slice in! The juicer will separate everything out.
* 1/2 to 3/4 square inches of fresh ginger root (more or less if you’d like)

Pop it into your juicer and watch the magic! Pour it into your favorite cold glass or add some ice cubes. It’s also great to add to cold spritzer water.

DRINK UP!  IT’S THAT SIMPLE!
Consume it within 24 hours for guaranteed fresh taste. Yummy, yummy!

Because carrots also contain antioxidants, this means it’s a fantastic food for cardiovascular health! It’s also low in calories and great for weight loss.

Ginger has enormous health benefits! This is one of those medicinal foods I recommend people to consume on a regular basis. It has healthy digestive, detox, anti-cancer (thanks to the gingerols), anti-inflammatory properties.  It also helps in reducing nausea and vomiting and boosts your immune system.
